• Expertise in handling of steel products, grains, fertilizers and various bulk cargoes including high-density cargo like metal ores, slags, concentrates, etc.• Possess very good knowledge of the IMSBC code for the purpose of planning and preparation for loading bulk cargoes and care during the voyages.• Extensively dealt with the stress related problems, inspection of ballast tanks and various other structural issues of bulk carriers.• Well conversant with SOLAS regarding "Additional safety measures for bulk carriers”.• Responsible for carrying out various trainings and drills on-board with regard to safety and security at sea.• Manage safe, efficient and quality operations of the ship.

• Master's representative on Bridge Navigation Watch.• In-charge of port cargo operation watch.• Passage planning and safe navigation of the ship.• GMDSS officer on board - responsible for all distress communication.• Maintenance of the fire-fighting appliances and life-saving appliances.

Apprentice on-board the foreign going ships.Meticulously learnt at the very grass root level every aspect of operating a ship in safe, efficient and environment friendly system.
