KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Handle all technical responsibilities of the IT infrastructure for both onshore and offshore to ensure optimum performance and absolute minimum downtime to the business.  Manage all IT related and technical activities for Vessels (oil tanker).  Responsible for constant technical upgrades and maintenance to proactively look at ways to improve the IT infrastructure’s technical performance. Responsible for administration of multiple Microsoft Office 365 accounts.  Manage and perform regular maintenance of in-house applications, databases, file servers, etc (Microsoft Dynamics, Bass PMS, PAGA system and other applications).  Active Directory management- Maintaining the Domain Controller, Configuring DC, Installing Active directory, etc Experienced in configuration and management of Firewalls, execute VPN connections between offices, regularly monitor and update Firewall to protect against any internet security threats/attacks. Manage VSAT internet connection and coordinate with vendor to keep minimum downtime.  Visiting Vessels in case of any IT support or new implementations for general system maintenance as per request from Vessel/Chartering/Operations department.  Maintenance and administration of office Telephone System (PABX) including cisco Jabber and Avaya workplace.  In-charge of configuration, maintenance and daily backup operations, ensuring all required systems file and data from servers such as users shared folders/files from various applications, databases etc. are successfully backed up to the appropriate backup devices. And also responsible for restoring data when required by performing periodical restoration test from backup.
