Troubleshoots, repairs, modifies and maintains a variety of construction, industrial, combat, tactical and power generation equipment. Equipment includes but is not limited to bulldozers, graders, tractors, trucks, armored personnel carriers (APC), tracked recovery vehicles, ambulances, generators and forklifts. Performs removal and replacement of supported equipment major systems. Systems include power packs, transmissions, transfers, and gear reduction units. Replacement is accomplished using floor cranes, hydraulic lifts and transmission jacks. Replaces components such as injector pumps, air conditioners, fuel pumps, and alternators. Makes idle speed, current, brake, and transmission link adjustments on systems and components ensuring alignment and operation. Performs systems and component troubleshooting and repair to include rebuild. Performs initial and in-process inspections, final inspections on various operational test to ensure all repairs meet prescribed standards prior to release to the customer.

Performs preventative maintenance on motor coaches, as well as shop roadside support vehicles. Performs brake replacements, tire replacements, filters, vehicle fluids, lighting systems. Engine maintenance such as belt replacement, hoses, pulleys, wiring harnesses and related components. Responsible for moving coach buses in and out of shop, and assisting operator’s with any last minute issues prior to the vehicle departure.
