I’m a scientist with 15 years of research experience in molecular neurobiology, fascinated by understanding the genetic regulation of various CNS cells in the context of neurodegenerative diseases and brain disorders. I have extensive research experience with novel viral vectors for in-vivo genetic engineering, exceptional animal handling and surgery skills, tools development and software development. Currently, I focus on the blood-brain barrier (BBB) – the gatekeeper of the brain that provides a safe and homeostatic environment for brain function. Among my achievements, I’ve uncovered new regulatory mechanisms to enable drug delivery and possible treatment for neurodegenerative diseases, brain tumors and brain disorders.
