During my tenure onboard ships which included 3 very large crude oil carriers and a chemical tanker ship in the capacity of a navigation officer cadet, I was entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining a navigational watch on the bridge alongside senior officers and the Captain of the ship and keep cargo watches in ports where we planned and oversaw loading and discharging operations involving millions of barrels of crude oil and tons of chemicals. I was also responsible for making voyage plans for the Ocean passages and cargo loading/stowage/discharging plans for cargo loading and discharging operations.
