Yooo! You know me as Shadat, the designer guy behind projects with Breakdance, Replo App, Carver Bank USA, and Elementor. But here’s a fun twist: I’m also an electrical engineer. So you’re probably thinking, What’s an engineer doing in the design world? Let me tell you!Well, it all started during the pandemic when everything shut down. I was stuck in my room, bored out of my mind, wondering what to do next. That’s when my journey began. I started my career as a WordPress developer, helping clients build websites for about 1.5 years. Then, Webflow started gaining traction, and I got hooked on their animation system. I spent hours experimenting with interactions, and before I knew it, I fell in love with Webflow and made the switch from WordPress.Six months into my Webflow journey, I got an unexpected call one morning, it was Louis, the founder of Oxygen Builder and Breakdance. He asked me to design a template for his new tool, Breakdance. I gave it a shot, and he loved it so much that he asked me to create 7-8 more templates. But there was a twist, he needed the designs in Figma so he could handle the feedback directly. Challenge accepted!At the time, I wasn’t exactly familiar with Figma, and to make things more challenging, I was fresh out of an engineering degree with my family expecting me to land a traditional job. Money was tight, and the pressure was real. But I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. So, I dedicated the next 7-10 days to learning the Figma basics from scratch. Somehow, I pulled it off and managed to deliver.That’s when I realized my design skills were lacking, and I wasn’t satisfied with the aesthetics of my websites. So, I decided to focus on UI/UX design. Trust me, I enjoyed every single rectangle I created and eventually became a full-time UI/UX designer.Since then, I’ve had the privilege to work with incredible brands like Breakdance, Carver Bank USA, Replo App, Unlimited Add-ons for Elementor, and more. My workload grew so much that I had to start turning down projects. That’s when I decided it was time to take the leap and start my own agency, Squidx Agency. And why the “X”? Well, I’m a big fan of Elon Musk, and it just felt right!Running my agency, I realized that marketing was my true calling. Building networks, selling my skills, it all came naturally to me. So now, I proudly call myself a marketing guy.It hasn’t been easy, but thanks to my parents and friends who supported me along the way, I’ve built the story you just read.Thank you for being part of it!
