I hold a Certificate IV in Education support, and have experience in supporting literacy and numeracy development.My awareness for the individual emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of children and my respectful approach, allows me to provide opportunities for each student to reach the outcomes of their individual learning plans. I have participated in several professional learning courses, ensuring that I remain abreast of the current research and strategies that I have transferred to my daily role as an SLSO.In my previous role as an SLSO, I worked closely with teachers to ensure student’s individual learning needs are met while collaborating with classroom teachers to implement a range of educational lessons. I collaborated with teachers to ensure school literacy and numeracy initiatives were planned and implemented successfully and as a productive team member, I constantly asked for feedback and used this feedback to reflect on my practices.I possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, organisational skills and am competent in conducting targeted group interventions to ensure student educational outcomes are met. I hold a current First Aid certificate, possess a valid Working with Children Check and have successfully completed the required Department of Education mandatory training.
