In his current position as an M&E Specialist/Training Specialist with USAID/Jordan Monitoring and Evaluation Support Project (MESP), Mr. Tanash develops training materials and conducts training workshops for several M&E topics including Activity Monitoring and Evaluation Plans, selecting performance indicators, preparing for USAID data quality assessments, and documenting performance indicators reference sheets. In addition, he develops M&E tools, forms, and M&E best practice guides. He also advises USAID/Jordan activities on selecting the performance indicators, developing M&E plan, and designing data collection tools. Mr. Tanash acts as the Gender M&E Specialist to support USAID Gender Development Objective and USAID/Jordan Gender Program (TAKAMOL) including developing Gender sensitive/specific indicators.

Baghdad, Iraq

Mr. Tanash oversaw the modernization of 36 major PHC centers across the country. To accomplish this, he led a gap analysis of target health centers and developed action plans that included performance indicators, data collection tools, and monitoring templates to guide project interventions that strengthen PHC services. He also provided technical advice to support the project’s Performance Management Plan (PMP) and the Results Framework. He also organized very high level certification ceremonies for the clinics attended by the USAID Iraq Mission Director and the Minister of Health.

Jordan And Iraq

Designed and implemented capacity building programs to support the Government of Iraq (GoI) in collaboration with international experts and institutions such as the American University of Beirut, the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center, the Netherlands Royal Tropical Institute, the Jordanian Royal Medical Services, the Jordanian Nursing Council and the Imperial College, London. He also contributed to the overall monitoring and evaluation of activities and produced periodic progress reports.Advised the monitoring and evaluation of several WHO implemented programs including developing performance indicators, contributing to the development of Log-Frame, and writing periodic and annual performance reports. He organized high-level training workshops and meetings in collaboration with WHO technical advisers in the regional and HQ offices in Cairo and Geneva, respectively.
