I spent the last two years of high school scrambling to figure out what to do with my life after graduation. I knew that going to college was a must, but where would I go? What would I do? My family had pushed me towards engineering my whole life because I enjoyed math and science, however I couldn't see myself following that path. Others recommended the medical field because there are always opportunities when going down that path, but I wasn't interested in that. So how did I finally end up deciding to pursue a marketing degree?I met a Real Estate Broker and began job shadowing her to see what her job was all about. At first, I simply loved walking through these houses and imagining how I would set things up if I lived there. Eventually, I became fascinated with the freedom that comes with the job. Within this career field, real estate agents must be able to market themselves and the products that they are selling, which are homes. I decided that a career in marketing was something that I would be interested in, while it would also help me in my Real Estate journey. I graduated high school in May of 2020 with a 3.8 GPA and a big dream. I began taking college courses as a junior in high school, and as of right now I have 64 college credits. I will be graduating with a marketing degree in the fall of 2022. I will have my real estate license on or before June 6, 2021 and I plan to begin my exciting journey. While I continue to pursue my degree and learn more about the marketing field, my goal is to help expand my family's business. My mother started her own custom apparel store in 2015 and the store took a big hit during the pandemic. Many people began making their own shirts or no longer like to shop in stores. I have made it my responsibility to help the business grow online.
