Dr. Yossi Shafer, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist and the founder and director of Empower Health Center, a group practice of multi-specialty psychotherapists providing individual, couple, and group therapy, as well as medication management. He serves on the clinical advisory boards of Yad Rachel, an organization for women with perinatal and postpartum mood disorders, and Bridges, an organization that provides respite and foster care for families in crisis. While serving as director of integrated behavioral and medical health care services at CHEMED, Dr. Shafer conducted and published his research identifying patient variables influencing behavioral health care utilization and intensity within an integrated behavioral health care model. His current research involves investigating key variable contributors/barriers toward mental health care within the frum community.
