Justin currently manages Special Projects for the 11th Hour Racing Team, fulfilling a lifelong passion for racing sailboats in a professional context. His focus is using and developing technology with his perspective as both a sailor and a technologist to create a sustainable competitive advantage for the team as they work towards competing in the next edition of the Ocean Racethe crewed Around the World Race that has been running since 1973. 11th Hour Racing establishes strategic partnerships within the sailing and maritime communities to promote collaborative, systemic change benefitting the health of our ocean. From plastic pollution to climate change to the environmental impacts of our sport, our oceans are threatened, and the clock is ticking.In addition, Justin is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Public Studio, a hybrid investment vehicle and early stage product development group that builds and finances technology companies. He is also an active investor and advisor in the technology and media sector. Prior to his work on Public Studio Justin served on the Product team at Facebook, where he led teams responsible for designing and building Video, Groups, Places, and Events. Justin came to Facebook via the acquisition of his company Hot Potato in mid-2010 where he was the Founder and CEO. Prior to founding Hot Potato, he served as Senior Vice President, New Media at MLB Advanced Media where he led the team that built MLB.TV. He is an avid racing sailor, chef, skier, and pilot in his spare time.
