International Wardrobe Data Analysis project aimed to provide comprehensive insights into sales performance across various wardrobe categories, including Men’s wear, Women’s wear, Kid’s wear, Sportswear, bath clothes, Lady’s Footwear, Men’s footwear, and children’s wear. This project calculated total sales, total profit, and year-over-year (YOY) sales in different regions. Additionally, comparisons were made across categories, regions, and Periods to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Imported the data from the SQL server into Power BI Desktop via import mode.Understanding tables and mapping the relationship between the Dimension and Fact tables.Development of Star schema or Snowflake schema depending upon the tabular data.Creation of a Calendar table for mapping all Date-related columns to reduce the date hierarchy, resulting in the performance.Data cleaning and data Transformation can be performed in Power Query Editor.Calculated columns or Measures using DAX can be written as per the business requirements.To merge various tables on the common column, JOINs are used.Depending upon the data, various visuals are used like Cards, tables, KPIs, slicers, Gauge charts, Pie charts, Funnel charts, bar charts, column charts, maps, etc.The project involved calculating total sales, total profit, year-over-year (YOY) sales, Last 6 months sales, etc. in different regions. Additionally, comparisons were made across regions, categories, and Periods to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.The report is hosted within a workspace on Power BI Service.Dashboards are tailored to client specifications from the array of reports available on PBI Service.Gateways facilitate data updates between Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service regularly.Data refresh occurs manually or via a Scheduled Refresh to incorporate incremental updates.
