Co-founder and chief creative at Wau Animation. Also a big fan of Brad Bird and Edgar Wright. I was involved in the creation of Malaysia’s first 3D animated feature film and the no.1 running animated TV series Upin & Ipin and Pada Zaman Dahulu. My responsibilities include overseeing creative direction, animation, sound design and also voice acting. After a long stint working at Les’ Copaque Production I decided to pursue my own thirst for creation, and with four colleagues from the old company we paved our way to create a name of our own in Wau Animation. Thus, Ejen Ali was born. Spanning three seasons between 2016-2022, Ejen Ali became one of the most watched TV show, with two million viewerships weekly on TV3. In 2019, we pursued our longtime dream: making Ejen Ali The Movie. The action-packed and emotionally-charged movie went on to become the Malaysia's highest grossing animated film and third highest grossing local film in 2019. Season 3 was particularly special as it was co-produced by Disney+ Hotstar and debuted exclusively on its platform. At Wau Animation, we hope to bring smart storytelling and quality animation that can WAU people.
