I have recently completed a Master’s degree in Information Systems Management - Business Intelligence and Data Analytics program at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to this, I worked as a Business Data Analyst at Quantiphi Inc., a Data & Analytics service provider, for 3 years, where I was a part of the Project Delivery Team for various clients from the Healthcare, Hospitality, EdTech, and Media & Entertainment industries.Along with my work as a Business Data Analyst, I widened my analytical and technical skills by collaborating with engineers on my team to work with them on data preparation, exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, developing machine learning algorithms, and designing UI/UX for the applications that we built. I also worked on Business Intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Google Data Studio, and trained 200+ interns in Python, Google Spreadsheets, Analytics, Data Visualization, and Statistics. After my promotion to Senior Business Data Analyst, I took on leadership and project management responsibilities for a significant collaboration for a product with Google. I prioritized activities and planned the execution of various project phases such as Discovery, Development, Pilot testing, and Production. This experience at Quantiphi inspired me to pursue a Master's degree at CMU to deepen my understanding in the field of data.CMU's program offered a balanced blend of technology and management courses like Data Science for Product Managers, Machine Learning for Problem Solving, Statistics, and Decision Making Under Uncertainty. With my current Capstone Project with Harvard Management Company, I got first hand experience of the Finance and Investments industry by working on data extraction from multiple data sources, creating a data lake, and performing data processing and monitoring to make their investment management process more efficient. At CMU, I also got the opportunity to work with Honda’s Customer Satisfaction and Marketing team as a Social Media Analytics Consultant to help them understand how customers are perceiving Honda Electric Vehicles and provide strategic, data-driven recommendations to enable Honda to place themselves in the EV market.As a Business Data Analyst, my ability to transform and communicate with different stakeholders and translate their problems and objectives to technical project tasks will be very handy as I will be able to work as a bridge between the technical and business teams.
