During course work, researched in Image processing under Dr. Frank Shih. Wrote two papers: ‘American Sign Language gesture recognition’, and ‘Human face generation using Generative Adversarial Network’.American Sign Language Gesture Recognition• Developed a system of programs to preprocess hand images, using smoothing techniques.• Created a model using deep learning algorithms to classify the hand gesture according to the American Sign Language.• Scripted code that took input hand gesture from camera and process it for classification with minimal latency.Human Face Generation Using Generative Adversarial Network• Built and executed code with delayed learning rate reduction to train model on the face dataset and generate face like features from random noise input image.• Further after success, applied the Generator and Discriminator to create adversarial attack on MNIST dataset.
