* Over 10 years of experience in Product Design, Development and Application of various Chassis (Steering)/Interior trim & Automotive Safety restraint components (Seatbelts, Steering Wheel and OCS) for most of the major automotive OEM’s.* Well versed in manufacturing processes and tolerance capabilities such as stamping, machining, forging, casting and injection molding.* Comprehensive knowledge of design standards, NHTSA safety regulations for crash and testing, NCAP requirements, welding and Material behavior.* Currently holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree and a Master’s of Science (Mech-Eng) degree with specialization in design and manufacturing.* Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T), Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM & DFA).* Experience in performing DV and PV testing, writing FMEA's & BOM, * Familiar with APQP, PPAP, SPC, DOE, Global 8D & 5P, Kaizen and Continuous Improvement.* In depth knowledge of ISO-9000 & QS-9000 TS/16949 System. Internal Auditor for TS 16949.* Lead many Design reviews and Implemented cost reduction ideas (VA/VE). * Strong Analytical, computational and troubleshooting skills. * Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. * Work well under pressure and strict deadlines and able to meet project milestones.Specialties: Project Management, Customer Relation,Stamping, Problem Solving , Cost reduction (VA/VE), FMVSS and NCAP.
