Shahad Alsudais is the founding partner and architect at quartz architects, a Saudi-Italian multi-cultural collaboration studio based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Shahad is grounded on the principles of Spacemaking. Her design follows a rigorous process of crafting a value-optimized, context-driven and thought-provoking architecture to achieve social and environmental sustainability often through economical means.Shahad has had academic and work experience that spans the cities of Berlin, Madrid, London, New York and now, Riyadh, where she was involved on varied scales of projects under diverse contexts. Alsudais has an M.Arch from the Pratt Institute, New York. Today with her leadership, quartz architects’ is involved in cross-scale projects, from objects, interior, architecture, landscape and urban spaces.
