As Deputy Director Procurement my Primary Job is to ensure procurement of Goods and Services in a way that it aligns with and complements the projects timelines. My responsibilities predominantly comprises the following:1. Preparation of Annual Procurement Plan (APP) draft.2. Presentation and Defence of the Procurement plan to Company Board of Directors.3. Distribution of Goods approved in different groups according to their interdependencies and relevance to each other.4. Distribution of groups into Tenders.5. Recommendation of procurement method for each tender accord to nature of technicality of goods , level of importance of goods in hierarchy of importance in company.6. Evaluation of tenders.7. Recommendations for award of contract.8. Pursuance of awarded tenders till its logical conclusion and delivery of material.World Bank funded Electricity Distribution Efficiency Improvement Project (EDEIP) :1. Preparation of Project Procurement Plan on STEP (Systematic Tracking of Exchanges in Procurement).2. Preparation of Standard Procurement Document (SPD) in accordance with World Bank Procurement Regulations and PESCO Procurement Policies.3. Preparation and Publication of Standard Procurement Notice (SPN) through Publication department.4. Opening of tenders.5. Evaluation of Tenders and recommendation of award.6.
