Led the Software Platform/Infrastructure development for Visa Checkout -- Built and grew a brand new platform development group - across multiple locations, both local and remote.- Responsible for defining the direction, roadmap and strategy for the platform group development.- Proven leadership skills across multiple dimensions - mentoring and team building, cross-functional integration, close collaboration with architecture and product, end-to-end project development life cycle and delivery, project planning and dependency management, and more. - Successfully led several projects/initiatives to build them from ground-up and release to production - data encryption system, batch processing framework, notification framework, central application logging, A/B testing, and more.

Act as Team Leader, Project Manager and Technology Expert for core of the HP Integrated Archive Platform. Responsibilities include:1. Define the direction to address the technical challenges and respond to the market needs in the realm of information retrieval. 2. Define the team’s priorities, plan for various releases, assist in platform architecture and product planning efforts and produce and maintain a roadmap. 3. Provide mentorship to team members: perform design reviews, code reviews, help individuals get more knowledgeable in the indexing and search realms (through papers, presentations, etc.)4. Work with the team to design and implement enhancements in functionality, performance and scalability, and improved reliability and failure recovery. 5. Investigate, develop, validate, and recommend models for a range of search applications.

Responsible for driving large-scale re-architecture projects from its inception to culmination – including designs, reviews, task planning, team leadership, development, project management, tracking, deployment, releases, etc.

Responsible to extend/refine research prototypes into marketable products, both as architect/developer and as project manager for developmental activities; explore business/funding opportunities; develop research proposals; establish industrial ties/technology transfer; obtain patents/licenses, etc., for technical ideas emerging from research team.

Responsible for meeting with customers as part of a project customer team to understand requirements, estimate work efforts, architect and propose a solution if existing core product fail to meet global customers need. Primary activities addressed issues in software design/development and database management of various customized solutions.
