Software Engineer with 2 years of experience. I studied Computer Science at Western Michigan University with a double minor in Economics and Political Science and am seeking greater opportunities to utilize my skills and grow as an engineer. I've had a passion for engineering and the sciences since I was a child, and discovered my fascination for programming through video game mods! The same summer I had finished a simple mod using Java, I switched my major from Biochemistry to Computer Science. During my time in WMU, I interned with Tyler Technologies, where I utilized various technologies to create web applications for a core project that’s used by city governments today.During the summer of 2020, I taught myself Android Studio to make a personal project, Cal-Track, which tracks a user's calories and macronutrients throughout the day. Cal-Track was my first ever major project outside of school.From 2021 to 2022, I worked at Dominion Systems as a Full-Stack Mobile Developer before it was closed for business. Here, I developed my skills as an engineer in a professional environment, developing an HR application used by clients nationwide.From 2022 onwards I was employed with EBSCO Information Services where I developed backend microservices that powered e-library systems across the world. During my time in EBSCO, I utilized an extensive array of technologies employed in Backend, Cloud, and DevOps environments. Since then, I've travelled throughout South East Asia and participated in community service programs (which is a fancy way of saying I lived in a Buddhist monetary and collected rice 😅).
