Bookkeeping; check the accounts and balancing all the accounts of the day which is usually done at the end of the day.Check discrepancies; If the accounts are not balanced, then to check the discrepancies and correct them.Ledger balancing; preparing financial reports of the hotel daily which includes tax reports also.Monitoring vacancies; checking if any vacancies are there and assigning the vacant rooms to customers.Receiving calls; receiving calls which are made by mostly customers regarding room vacancies also making reservations on phones by checking availability of the room.Data entry; All the accounts are entered into the computer after preparing the financial sheet of the hotel and updates room vacancies and reservations and backing up the data through backup tapes.Answering queries; answering guests’ queries and carry out any complaints by guests and help them if they need extra service in their stay.Provide security; Working with the security, making sure that, guests are provided proper security. Taking the responsibility of the hotel during the shift and making sure that the environment around the hotel is neat and safe.Desk cash; making out correct cash in the desk for next day’s morning shift.Communicate with other Workers; interacting with room services, kitchen and Bar and add them up in guest billing.In addition to these, checking in and checking out early morning and late night guests is another responsibility. Thus, acting as a front desk agent, making sure that the guest complaints are reached to the Front Office Manager.

Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales - especially managing personal time and productivity. Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed market development strategy. Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer and satisfaction.
