Duties and Responsibilities:- Solve complex problems relating to business strategic initiatives and make decisions alongside the leadership group- Formulated and developed the Allan Gray multi-manager (AGMM) strategy from ideation to implementation. Developed and own the multi-manager function for Allan Gray.- Chair the investment committee for investment management decisions of the AGMM- Determined the investment approach, investment parameters and ESG policy for the AGMM investment funds. - Negotiated fee, SLAs and maintain relationships with the underlying fund managers and research providers.- Have a deep understanding of the investment strategies, investment processes and investment teams of all of the underlying fund managers- Fee & profit modelling, and establish pricing strategy along with retail and group exco.- Ensured the development of the necessary systems enhancements in order to trade and for the necessary fund accounting and administration functions- Establish and implement the necessary processes with each of the broader business functions (compliance, risk, marketing, distribution, finance, training, client servicing, fund operations, IT)- Report to the group Board regarding the development and on-going success of the AGMM- Up-skill and feedback to AG's distribution channels.- Feedback to client stakeholders across retail and institutional segments: Consultants, Trustees, IFAs, Employers and Members.- Manager responsibilities: interview, appoint and manage business analysts. Chair and set agendas for the twenty-seven-member product development team meetings

- Technical specialist on Allan Gray’s Unit trusts and Orbis (Global) Funds- Responsible for the bulk-client channel (nationally) which encompasses PLatforms, Multi-Managers, Discretionary Fund Managers Broker funds, fund committees, and trustees; and account for 50% of Allan Gray’s Unit Trust assets- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders within the bulk-clients’ corporate structures, Stakeholders include: distribution teams, distribution management, advisors, product development teams, fund committees, fund research teams, trustees, DFMs, Multi Managers, and broker funds. - Ensure retention and growth of AUM across the bulk dealers by developing and implementing effective servicing strategies. - Conduct Due-Diligences- Guest speaker and presenter at client and industry events.- Guest on radio talk-shows - Act as mentor / coach to junior members of the team- Technical Support to AG's other distribution channels - BDMs, Emerging Markets, Private Clients
