Collaborating with a diverse group of dedicated individuals, I addressed injustices faced by detained individuals and played a key role in highlighting their daily challenges to youth activists.My work focused on achieving significant policy changes to improve conditions for detained individuals. I spearheaded a video petition campaign urging Congress to support the Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act (H.R. 2222, S. 1186) and mobilized over 100 student activists nationwide to amplify these efforts.Through these initiatives, I raised awareness and generated public support for a more humane and just approach to immigration detention. -
