Worked on creating machine learning models in PyTorch to reduce detected false alarms in ECGs of cardiac arrhythmias.

- Developing software to analyze and reduce background noise on large sets of data from particle detectors. The particle detector is a plastic called CR39 which encodes the paths high-energy particles take when they enter and travel through the material. -The data usually has a few million datapoints comes from an experiment using a powerful laser to produce fusion products from a small capsule of fuel. - A central technique in the analysis, called coincidence counting, was overhauled with an algorithm ~115x faster than what was previously used. - A robust simulator was built to generate realistic synthetic data of the experiment. - The project makes extensive use of Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib. - The software is mostly completed, currently working on publishing the findings in a paper.
