As the Director of Operations at Helena Kennedy Foundation, I have been leading the strategy and delivery of a national charity that supports students affected by disadvantages for over 10 years. I manage the bursary scheme, the finance operations, the day-to-day operational management, and the fundraising activities of the organization, working with a dedicated team of trustees and staff.I am passionate about overcoming social injustice and empowering individuals to reach their full potential and become pillars of society. I have a background in welfare to work, adult education, and creative sector programmes, and I have developed new partnerships and collaborations with various stakeholders to enhance the impact and reach of the charity. On weekends, I produce an exquisite blend of all-organic turmeric tea containing turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, fennel, liquorice, and black pepper. It started out by helping friends and family avoid colds and seasonal flu, but it has now turned into a small business called Divine Teas. I also love pottering at my shared allotment with my twin sister.
