Reservoir Management leadership role, overseeing and leading the comprehensive reservoir management strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives while supporting innovative approaches to achieve operational excellence. Contributing towards SOCAR’s “Upstream of the Future” vision by moving towards data driven decision making philosophy, supported by use of modern surveillance tools, software packages and industry standard reservoir management processes and standards.

Monitoring and advisory role for the overall oil and gas production activity of the state owned "Azneft Production Union" covering more than 40 fields and ~3,000 wells (both onshore and offshore Caspian Sea) and accounting for more than 100,000 bbls of oil and 600 MMscf of gas per day. Job scope also extends to 13+ other independent oil and gas companies operating across Azerbaijan.

Responsible for planning and execution of all Non-Rig Well Work (NRWW) intervention activities deploying Slickline, E-line and Coil Tubing equipment on Lay Barges and SEWOPs. Assets include 26 JV fields (40% CNL as Operator, 60% NNPC), spread across onshore Niger Delta and coastal offshore areas in shallow water. The following are the most common types of well interventions that we execute: *SLICKLINE* - Flowing & Static BHPs, Well Plugging / Unplugging, SCSSV and STORM choke servicing, GL Valves changeouts, Perforation Addition, Leak detection with PLTs and Noise Logs, Well Restoration (Swabbing), Fishing; *ELECTRIC LINE* - Cased hole logging (RST/RPM/PLT), Perforation, Tubing Punch; *COILED TUBING* - Stimulation, Cement Plugback, Scale / Sand Cleanout; *OTHERS* - Wellhead Maintenance, Xmas Tree valves Change-out, Hot-Oiling.Supervisory Role for 9 Chevron employees (2 of them are Team Leads), ~30 Labour Contract and Service Contract Production Engineers, as well as Base Managers for various Service Providers (Halliburton, Schlumberger, Zukus, Weafri, Wellberg, Benek, MegaServe, Poseidon, OilData, GeoPlex, Baker, Ebibo, JAD, Dewayles). Total size of the team including field personnel ~160-290 depending on the overall level of activity.OPEX Budget ownership (multi-$MM) supporting all Non-Rig Well Work activities. Managed historically highest barge count of 9 (5 offshore, 4 onshore) during second half of 2019.

Responsible for planning and execution of all Non-Rig Well Work intervention activities for fields in ‘Area A’ (except Mafumeira) located in Block-0 offshore Angola. These assets included a total of 17 fields in the Greater Takula Area (GTA) and Greater Malongo Area (GMA). We mainly deployed Slickline and E-line equipment to execute these well interventions that are broadly categorized as: Production Enhancement, Surveillance, and Well Safety & Security. Also responsible for Production Opportunity Identification activities, such as: Daily Monitoring of Well Performance and Identification of Underperforming Wells using advanced SCADA based Tools (WRO, RTPO, IFM), Well Performance Analysis & Troubleshooting (Prosper, WRO). Supervisory Role for 12 Chevron PEs and as well as Base Managers for various Service Providers (Halliburton, Schlumberger).

Hands-on mentoring, coaching and supporting ~25 Production Engineers on their daily routine activities. Main focus was on building Organizational Capability and ensuring sufficient key competencies in the following core areas: Slickline Operations, Gas Lift, ESPs, Waterflooding, Stimulation Treatments, Nodal Analysis (IPM), Well Monitoring and early detection of Underperforming Wells using SCADA based tools (Active Factory, IFM, RTPM, WRO).Foundational Training Program. Active role in developing training materials for new graduates as part of the Angolanization and Competency Development strategy. This program consisted of 14 modules (Basic Oilfield Units, Rock Basics, Introduction to Earth Sciences, Formation Evaluation, PVT, Material Balance, Fluid Flow in Porous Media, Volumetrics & Mapping, Well Design & Construction, Well Performance, Surveillance / Analysis & Optimization, Production Forecasting, Production Operations, Economics & Decision Analysis).

Leading a team of 3 Reservoir Engineers and responsible for Routine Business Planning and Reserves Cycles for all Non-Operated assets, located in Northern and Central North Sea. These assets accounted for 25% of Business Unit’s production and >50% of reserves and included the following 9 fields: Clair, Britannia, Brodgar, Callanish, Elgin, Franklin, West Franklin, Jade, Enochdhu. The emphasis was on effectively influencing operator decisions by proposing alternative solutions supported by in-house Simulation or IPM models.Reserves Coordination: From Jan 2011 to Aug 2013, I also fulfilled the role of Regional Reserves Coordinator, responsible for SEC Annual Reserves Reporting for all fields in the Business Unit spanning assets across UK, Norway, Denmark, and Netherlands. I provided mentoring, training and guidance to 20 QREs on reserves related matters throughout the 3 annual reserves cycles. Note that this was a parallel Business Unit wide role and overlapped with two core assignments (NOJV Reservoir Management Lead and Alder Subsurface Team Lead).

Subsurface Team Lead role for the Alder Major Capital Project ($700MM Capex), responsible for all subsurface activities including defining work-scope and resource needs, coordinating technical studies, providing subsurface deliverables to support decisions, preparing for Peer Reviews, DA work and economics, business planning, reserves estimations, and engaging with external stakeholders such as partners and DECC. In Q4 2010 Alder project successfully passed through Phase 2/3 Gate (this was the 1st time in 35 years since discovery that the subsurface team managed to push the project into FEED phase).

Primary reservoir engineering support for the Erskine field (mature high pressure and high temperature (HP/HT) rich gas condensate field located in the North Sea). Core accountabilities included: History Matching using compositional simulation (Eclipse 300), Material Balance study using IPM tools (MBAL, PROPSER, GAP), Reserves Estimation and Business Planning processes, Partner meetings, Day to day reservoir engineering support for the asset team.

Reservoir engineering support for the development of a new field Lianzi - deep-water turbidite channel reservoir in Block 14, offshore Angola. Key responsibilities included: Field Development Planning (waterflood), Upscaling of Geological Earth Model, Reservoir Simulation, Probabilistic Forecasting using Design of Experiments process, Well Count and Location optimization.

Hands-on practical experience with commercialising and training clients in a variety of software technologies used in the upstream oil & gas industry, such as:• “Seismic to Simulation” workflows using IESX/Charisma, WellPix, ResSum, Framework3D, CPS-3, InDepth, GeoFrame, Property3D, FloGrid, Eclipse.• Static earth model building in Framework3D.• Geostatistical property population using Property3D.• Upscaling static earth models to coarse grids in FloGrid for dynamic simulation.• Simulation experience with Eclipse 100 (black oil), Eclipse 300 (compositional), FronSim (streamline simulation).• Training courses on reservoir characterization, modeling and simulation products for clients (Exxon in Houston, Talisman in Aberdeen, Saudi Aramco in Al-Khobar).• Mentoring new engineers and geoscientists.
