GCF approved IDCOL to become the 1st Direct Access Entity (DAE) from Bangladesh. As an accredited entity, IDCOL is able to access the GCF fund directly for any climate change mitigation/adaptation project to be implemented in Bangladesh. The fund can be channeled to private/public sector entity or through private sector banks and financial institutions. IDCOL is accredited for GCF funding instrument of “Senior Loan” & “Grant” and is able to receive up to 250 million dollars for each GCF project.EY was assigned by IDCOL to conduct a baseline Energy Assessment thus they can support IDCOL in deciding the Energy Efficiency improvement loan disbursement to the Applicants.The project has one international Energy Expert and a National Energy Expert.I am working with EY and IDCOL as the National Energy Expert.

The role with IDCOL is not full time, rather it is completely an on-demand role to work on C&I level solar rooftop projects.This role will extensively focus on the Solar Rooftop project Feasibility study, design verification, providing consultation, Project development guidance, Expert team player of implementation, O&M supervision for ensuring continuous support, and overall guidance to the Project owner (on behalf of IDCOL).This independent Consultant will always represent IDCOL as one of their rooftop solar project team.

TREES is a great initiative of BGMEA,was started its journey leading by me, financed by GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) and cooperation of IFC (International Finance Corporation) focusing to change factories into resource efficient and Eco-friendlyKey Responsibilities: I gathered factories (20) for pilot project financed by GIZ, communicate factories and other relevant stakeholders to expedite the project, Did walk through Energy audit in all factories and generated reports. Helped factories to improve the situation, Article writer in BGMEA magazine on Resource Efficacy and prepared so many awareness banner on energy efficiency, Provide training to factories’ technical and non-technical teams to achieve the goal.

The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) is the apex trade body that represents the export oriented woven, knit and sweater garment manufacturers and exporters of the country. Readymade Garment (RMG) is the leading sector of Bangladesh in terms of employment, production and foreign exchange earning. Readymade garment (RMG) alone earned about 78% of the yearly foreign exchange earning of the country. About 4.0 million people are employed in the garment sector.
