𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 & 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:• Led the design of two Incline Rail Vehicles (Funicular) involving systems integration of a Special ADA area for wheelchairs, HVAC System, composite floor panels, maintenance platforms, curved glazing windows, wall insulation, electrical conduits, 360 camera system, and an onboard unique braking system.• Successfully designed, presented, and obtained official approvals for the production of a Non Jacketed DOT-111 tank car and a Jacketed DOT-117 tank car with exterior heater coils from AAR (Association of American Railroads). • Designed, built and tested various FRA projects at the company’s testing lab facility. Completed Projects include testing torsional strength of H-Coupler, modifying Box-Cars for Very Long Train concept, assessing the integrity of Passenger car glazing equipment, conducting an LNG tank puncture test, evaluating crashworthiness for Legacy (Locomotives, Rail Car fire testing, etc.• Designed and provided fabrication drawings for a prototype battery electric locomotive, featuring a semi-monocoque structure and sub-systems converted from an SD40-2 locomotive.• Documented and reverse-engineered 3-Axle and 4-Axle Switcher locomotives to provide the client with CAD models, engineering drawings and installation instructions.• Designed and obtained AAR approvals for a lightweight 5-Unit 40' Articulated Well Car and a 3-Unit 53' Articulated Well Car, intended for the transportation of Intermodal containers of all sizes.• Shortened the repair time for a single-level passenger car from 3 months to 2 weeks by designing a new buffer pocket repair weldment.
