Seyed Abbas Shah Karam, a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Tarbiat Modares University, was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1989. He is creative, sociable, fast learner, organized, and team player. His Ph.D. dissertation is titled “Introducing a practical beamformer based on delay-multiply-and-sum to enhance the contrast of the resulting images in breast confocal microwave imaging”, and was supervised by Dr. B. M. Asl, and advised by Dr. Declan O’Loughlin from the University of Dublin, Ireland. He is a multidisciplinary researcher with different experiences including ultrasound and microwave beamforming, multiple languages coding, hardware design, data mining, and artificial intelligence.His best identifier is his heuristic solutions for facing new problems and my power of coding that makes it easy to implement new algorithms optimally. Besides, developing hardware designs for new ideas adds up to the excitement of conducting his research. He has a strong mathematical mind and a logical viewpoint to problems. He loves research, teamwork, learning, and teaching. He had studied at the top universities of Iran, collaborated with Translational Medical Device Lab of National university of Ireland, won first place in the national programming contest and the publication of the biomedical engineering prize. His current research interests include adaptive array processing, signal processing, medical image processing, and artificial intelligence.
