I use of both applied art and applied science to improve the aesthetics, design, ergonomics, functionality, and/or usability of a product, and it may also be used to improve the product's marketability and even production. The role of an industrial designer is to create and execute design solutions for problems of form, usability, physical ergonomics, marketing, brand development, and sales.At Ar2 Design Studios Inc. (T/A IDS Metals), we like to take the simple design and functionality of a staircase and railings and apply art and science of design to make them both look better while maintain or even make them function better and more efficient. At the moment, we custom design and fabricate modern ergonomic and artistic furniture and accent pieces, and we intend to expand that function of our company in the very near future.
