Hello, my name is Rushil Shah. I am an Incoming Sophomore with Senior Standing at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). I am majoring in Neural Engineering and minoring in Computer Science, and in addition, I hope to soon officially declare a dual degree in Mathematics.I graduated from Lake Park High School in 2023 with a 5.64 GPA. During that time, I gained experience through independent projects in a variety of fields, including machine learning, neural networks, graphic design, photo editing, 3D CAD, robotics, and control systems.At Lake Park, I also pursued my primary interest: mathematics. I did this by self-studying more advanced topics (linear algebra, differential equations, discrete math) and creating educational resources for other students.As I continue forging my path, I hope to refine my skills and become an even better programmer, mathematician, and engineer. This will ideally culminate in me eventually earning a PhD in Mathematics and a Master’s in Computer Science.
