Asst Vice PresidentKalpataru Power Transmission Ltd 2008 - 2011As an Assistant Vice President - Projects, I was involved in The Bharat Oman Refinery Ltd project. It was in shambles between; Oct 2008 - Feb 2011 due to a low quote, an exhausted budget, continuous errors in implementation and major attrition of the "keymen". Took it on myself to overcome hurdles as & when they came, to successfully implement & commission the project. Following this, the closure was also challenging, since documents concerned with various technical & financial subjects were missing. Reconstructed the important portion of the required documents over a period of almost 5 months, to present a claim to the Project Management Consultant - Engineers India Ltd, for their approval. Attained approval of all submitted claims for settlement, since all were genuine. Quoted by the Top Management & my colleagues down the line that the closure was a "One Man Show". Deputy General Manager - PipelinesGammon India Ltd, Mumbai Jun 2006 - Sep 2008The company commenced the Dahej Uran Gas Pipeline, in which a portion of the line had to be laid above ground on the old Vashi Bridge, which was an engineering feat. The engineering involved fabrication of steel trestle with ultra precision, due to the curvature of the existing bridge. Undertook the work under my guidance in Aug 2007 till Mar 2008. I was given multi tasking for the Salaya Viramgam Pipeline, Kudremukh iron ore slurry pipeline, gas lines for the Umm Al Jawaby Hydrocarbon Organisation at Libya, followed by Projects with Iraq National Oil Company and then trouble shooting, estimation, monitoring from Dusseldorf Office. I left Dodsal after 5 years of intensive experience, to commence my entrepreneurial experience which lasted from 1983 to 2006, since the hydrocarbon industry was now witnessing a down turn. I then joined GAMMON INDIA LTD, a civil construction major.
