Ordnance Sustainment Project – Senior Graduate Researcher Jan. 2016–Dec. 2017o As sole member of project, created visual analytics dashboard to enable loadout configuration based on probabilistic mission occurrences. Foreign Object Debris Project – Senior Graduate Researcher Jan. 2015–Dec. 2015o Helped create visual analytics and technology infusion assessment dashboard to explore foreign object debris mitigation strategies.o Used JMP Scripting Language (JSL) to develop a simplified technology infusion model and UI for the dashboard to allow users to quickly and easily assess impacts of technology infusion and technology interaction on the cost and quantity of foreign object debris. o Helped in developing technology interaction model.

Amphibious Vehicle Requirements Analysis Framework – Graduate Researcher Sept. 2013–May 2014o Created amphibious combat vehicle (ACV) design tool that rapidly quantified design effects on combat effectiveness and logistics. o Developed a module to optimize combat asset numbers and ACV functional characteristics using a co-developed combat model.

Multi-Mission UAV Tradeoff Environment – Graduate Research Assistant Aug. 2012–May 2013o Created decision-making tool allowing the rapid analysis of tradeoffs between multi-mission and single-mission capable UAVs; served as project manager and determined project scope.o Identified interactions between project variables, helped code agent-based model of missions in NetLogo.

Modeled ship and subsystems in SolidWorks, produced engineering mock-ups, disassembled and analyzed legacy vehicle subsystems, performed CAD fit-testing and volumetric studies of new ship hardware. Acted as orbital trajectory analysis representative to United Space Alliance, Space Flight Operations, performed orbital mechanics studies for various mission profiles. Designed mission concept of operations, performed conceptual design of space station requirements. Researched testing and verification vendors.

Developed hardware and software for stroke-rehabilitation exoskeleton – machined new parts for hardware upgrade, converted Simulink GUI from Wincon to QuaRC.

Used SolidWorks and STAR-CCM+ to build wings and test their aerodynamic properties for comparison with literature. Created homework problems for Intro to Aerospace class. Performed feasibility studies for space launches using STK 9.
