Mr. Rahim Shaik is the founder and secretary of Need Base India, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing care, protection, love, and affection to children who are devoid of parental care, empowering them through education and giving them all sources of exposure and opportunities to perform their best and lead a happy childhood. With a passion for Children, Mr. Rahim Shaik has dedicated his career to improving the lives of vulnerable and underprivileged children. He has ten years of experience in the field of child protection, Mr. Rahim Shaik also gained a deeper understanding of India's legal and regulatory framework for working with vulnerable and underprivileged children during his three years as a member of the Child Welfare Committee in Bangalore from 2007 to 2010. Under his leadership, Need Base India has become a leading voice in the fight against vulnerable and underprivileged children, providing crucial care and support to those in need.Need Base India provides care, protection, health, and education to the most vulnerable and needy children. These children are runaways, orphans, drop out of schools, living in a street situation, or experiencing other challenging conditions.NBI runs residential homes for boys and girls and conducts special education classes and motivation camps for dropout children. In the last 10 years, NBI has provided residential and education facilities to more than 3000 children. 40 girls have now completed 10th std and are into higher education or jobs. Currently, NBI runs 8 residential homes (4 for boys and 4 for girls) for 450 children across Bangalore, and Karnataka.In the coming years, NBI plans to expand these residential homes to the interior parts of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha. There are many children still living in challenging circumstances, unable to grow or flourish. NBI plans to reach out to such vulnerable children waiting for a helping hand.
