I'm Junaid Shaikh, a Computer Science graduate student at RIT with a passion for solving real-world problems using technology. My journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Physics, where I developed a strong foundation in analytical thinking and problem-solving. This transition from Physics to Computer Science has been instrumental in shaping my approach towards technology.As a Computer Vision Engineer, I have honed my skills in Python and Java programming, and have gained substantial experience in Machine Learning and Deep Learning. During my tenure as a Teaching Assistant at RIT, I leveraged these skills to assist students in mastering the course material of CMPE 679 Deep Learning. Additionally, as a Student Tutor, I've had the opportunity to guide fellow students through complex algorithms and object-oriented programming concepts.My proficiency extends beyond just programming languages; I am well-versed with AWS and cloud computing technologies which are crucial for modern-day data processing tasks. Furthermore, my sound engineering background allows me to understand and implement intricate technical specifications effectively.With 5+ years of academic experience under my belt, I am eager to apply my knowledge and skills towards real-world applications as a Computer Vision Engineer.
