Online Piggy Bank for kidsMy side project inspired by having to teach my kids about money. Came up with the product concept, UX, design and worked with co-founders to get it built.

Worked on a early stage start up. Social network app for fans to follow their fav TV shows, music artists and engage with other fans via sharing pics, videos, polls.Started with concept and took it to decent traction with 100K unique monthly visitors and 1000 sign ups a week.

Heading the UX team at Kno working on learning platform for higher education and touchscreen tablet/apps. Team includes interaction design, visual design, user research and prototyping.

Lead and Manage a team of User Experience designers overseeing various core parts of eBay.com.

Define long-term user experience strategies. Present new product ideas and strategies to the executive staff. Present designs in progress to the executive staff and user community. Create and apply design frameworks that consider the entire eBay site and user experience. Write product specifications (IA, Work Flow, Page Functionality and Layout, etc.), which engineering uses to the build the product. Work with multiple groups, including business owners, product managers, creative designers, usability engineers, software developers and senior executives to ensure product success and next steps. Mentor and guide more junior designers. Identify and lead process improvements that make the UI Design group more efficient and effective. Represent eBay in the broader design community through conferences, talks, papers, papers, and networking. Work effectively in a team environment.

I played 2 roles at different times. As a Product Manager, My primary focus was to manage product design and development for internal productivity tools such as Design Patterns, Online collaborative QA environment. I was responsible for product goals and requirements, success metrics, project management.As a User Experience Lead: Led teams to create customized online learning solutions for Fortune 500 companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, Microsoft, ADP and Toys “R” Us by utilizing expertise in Information design and Interaction design. Primary responsibilities and accomplishments:• Handled 5 small size or 2 strategic accounts simultaneously, comprised of opportunities totaling over $2 million in revenue per quarter.• Leading and mentoring team of 10-15 globally distributed interaction/visual designers and production staff throughout the process of design to launch.

Started my job at LearningByte International India office and moved to Minneapolis, MN to handle client consulting for e-learning projects. Primary responsibilities and accomplishments:• Responsible for information and interaction design of internal e-learning projects. Lead team of 1-3 interaction/visual designers in the design process. Designed a content authoring tool that was used by designers for faster and efficient e-learning content development.• Part of the core team that was responsible for setting up India Design and Development center which grew from 5-member to 35-members in 2 years.
