I believe leadership is about adapting to changing circumstances, guiding people through rapid change and coming out of change stronger than ever. Personal influence stems from factors beyond the location of your office or the title on your business card. It involves building relationships across the business and beyond in order to build true platforms for engagement with team, partners and stakeholders in the pursuit of alliances and outcomes. My ability to drive outcomes through people is well documented and recognised in my award-winning tenure with Maritime New Zealand and other organisations. My accomplishments include deploying new technologies and working with the executive on high-priority issues, including strategic programs of political and economic importance, macro-trend alignment including the challenge of moving industries to think differently in relation to sustainability and ESG and organisations how to transform from the inside out. This is all built on a foundation in the commercial sector, where for over 10 years of my career I drove substantive improvements to the top and bottom line of businesses through customer, operation, product and manufacturing excellence.Success doesn’t happen by accident; I take a lot of pride in my work ethic and desire to grow and learn, evidenced by my recent completion of an INSEAD Global MBA. I have purposely taken on more throughout my career – a testament to my ability to break down problems and deliver solutions driving desired results. This is also true as a leader, where it is incredibly important to me to go the extra mile to motivate, empower and support in the development of their careers. Please feel free to connect.
