My experience in the field of early childhood education spans more than 25 years. I continue to identify myself as an early childhood educator though my career has enabled me to undertake a progression of roles as kindergarten teacher, childcare principal, curriculum specialist, teacher trainer, researcher and now educational administrator. I have extensive experience in training pre-service and in-service teachers in Asia and have taught certificate, diploma , degree and postgraduate levels. As an associate lecturer, I have taught in (former) SEED Institute, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, UNISIM and SIT-Wheelock College. In addition, I specialise in early childhood leadership programme management and was the Lead Mentor for the Lien Foundation funded Principal Matters programme from 2016 to 2019.I currently work as the Deputy Dean for Faculty and Leadership development at the National Institute of Early Childhood Development in Singapore. This role requires me to conceptualise and operationalise initiatives to elevate the professional development and teaching quality of our full- time and adjunct faculty. I specialise in early childhood leadership development programmes for leaders in the sector. My PhD thesis from the University of Warwick focused on exploring early childhood leadership from the context of policy-to- practice . I hold a Master in Early Childhood ( Macquarie University) , Bachelor of Arts with Merit ( National University of Singapore) , PG Cert in Adult Learning ( University College London), Certificate in TESOL ( Royal Society of Arts) and a Diploma in Coaching .
