COMMUNICATION/RELATIONSHIPSMy background in teaching and the service industry has helped mold me into a great communicator within the business world. I am able to easily fall into conversation with people, find topics that lead to relaxed discussions, and, over time, build a good working relationship where people feel comfortable working with me and approaching me with any needs or concerns they may have. As I have been in a variety of roles over the past few years, working with a wide range of individuals, I have continued to build long-lasting relationships within each job that still exist many years later.ADAPTABILITYMy ability to stay level-headed and keep a clear mind when things get chaotic, or when there is a sudden change in agenda, is one of my strongest traits. Flexibility is essential in life as there are constant factors that can change your plans and you must be able to adjust. With that, I do like to know what is coming at me so that I can prepare. I like to be ready for whatever is around the corner so I can manage any “what-if” scenarios.PROJECT MANAGMENTI love processes and procedures and find a sense of satisfaction in mapping out plans for getting a job done. I love to ask questions and see the broad spectrum of how things work so that I can better understand those functions of the individuals I work with. By doing this, it allows me to better do my job and ensure that, as we are all working toward the same goal, we are being efficient and utilizing the skills and expertise of those we work with. Outlining a clear path and understanding what we need to accomplish is essential in managing a project effectively.WHAT I AM LOOKING FORIdeally, I would like to find a role that involves client interaction. I love meeting people and developingrelationships in the work environment. I love to learn so I enjoy positions that are not repetitive and that cause me to use critical thinking skills regularly. One thing I really enjoyed about my previous sales role was being a part of the entire process; I spoke with the client and determined their needs, worked with our internal members to come up with how we can solve that problem, ironed out all the program specifics, and executed the program which helped to go above and beyond the client’s needs. Helping people is something that is engrained in me and I get a huge sense of fulfillment when I know I have assisted someone, no matter how small the task seemed to be.
