Hi! I would love to connect with you! I have been in the hospitality industry for 14 years. I started my journey at the age of 16 working in a "Take and Bake Pizza" parlor, and quickly moved into serving at several restaurants in the OKC area. I had a close friend ask if I was interested in serving at an event - thus began my love for the Catering and Event world! At the ripe age of 20, I started working at the Sheraton Reed Center as their restaurant manager, banquet captain and bartender. Shortly after my 21st birthday, I was presented with an offer to move into the Sales and Catering office and to take the position of Catering and Convention Services Manager. I was lucky to have a great mentor, my mother, that gave me crash course on convention services and event selling. I fell in love! 4 years later, I was ready to move on to my next adventure, albeit short, I accepted the opportunity to open the Aloft Hotel in Downtown OKC, an experience I will never forget. After completing a successful grand opening and setting banquet standards for the hotel, I was called to accept another position- outside of the hotel world. I was thankful to become the Private Event Director at Oak Tree Country Club - my life was filled with weddings, galas, golf tournaments & member only occasions. I was able to be creative in event design and menu creation, and hit a personal record of coordinating over 114 weddings. A position then became available at the Embassy Suites OKC Downtown Medical Center as a Convention Services Manager, although it was a huge step back for me, I was able to regain a more normal schedule (limited nights and weekends!) and allowed me to reconnect with clients and conference planners from my past. 6 months into my CSM position at the Embassy Suites, I was quickly promoted to the Association and Government Sales Manager role, where I have not only strengthen past relationships but have been blessed to meet some wonderful new clients and industry friends.
