Support the NASS First Year Experience program including Gateway collaboration and NASS Extended Welcome Program. Develop and teach a Native-centric section of the Morris 1101. Serve as a success coach for Morris 1101 students throughout their first year and beyond. Serve as a recovery coach for designated NASS eligible students with academic and other issues as needed. Partner with academic advisors, campus programs, and others to ensure that students access resources for learning and success. Assist students in achieving their goals utilizing intrusive and appreciative advising practices and intervention strategies. Log student contacts, success plans, referrals and follow-up.

Continue program assessment efforts (formative and summative project evaluation processes with a focus on continuous project improvement) including surveys, focus groups, and other forms of assessment. Provide data regarding SSS student participant performance to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. Provide documentation to support TRIO SSS Department of Education annual performance reporting. Offer various student support services for eligible participants.

Planned and led educational field trips to generate experiential learning opportunities for my students.• Long-term Substitute Teacher – March 2016 - June 2016 - Taught and supervised 18 second grade students at Sullivans Elementary School, located on Yokosuka Naval Base in Yokosuka, Japan. Worked with the grade-level team to create interdisciplinary unit plans. • Substitute Teacher – December 2014 - September 2015 - Part-time. Taught various grade levels at schools on the Yokosuka (Japan) Naval Base – Kinnick High School, Yokosuka Middle School, and Sullivans Elementary School.
