North American market manager for the Hygiene and Medical market segment within Packaging and Specialty Plastics. Responsible for developing and implementing market strategies to grow Dow's participation within this high value segment. This role involves leading our market management team for North America, which is responsible for implementing key initiatives among sales, supply chain, marketing, manufacturing and R&D as well as participating in our global management steering team specific to Hygiene and Medical.

North American market manager for fresh cut produce, processed foods, and food storage. Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing plans for polyethylene resins used in these packaging applications. In addition, global lead for barrier applications. This role involves working with several internal and external functions, such as Asset Management, Manufacturing, R&D, Sales, Value Chain, and New Business Development.

In this role I increased my responsibility specifically around Dow's specialty films business, specializing in polyolefin, polystrene, and barrier film applications. This role required understanding key market dynamics in various industries to improve performance based on customer needs. This role required leading account teams incorporating supply chain, customer service, manufacturing, research & development and various commercial roles to increase Dow’s value to customer and overall price/volume balance. In addition, I lead new product developments and minor product modification projects for specialty films applications. I also worked with core R&D and various advanced materials businesses within Dow to identify new markets and applications for licensing expansion of Dow technology.

In this role I applied the fundamental account management skills learned in the Commercial Development Program through managing several North American based accounts, specializing in specialty resins for food packaging and specialty films for various applications, including industrial and specialty food.

• Completed extensive six month sales training program that included intense sales simulations, a fundamental understanding of the sales cycle and various trainings on creating and growing strategic customer relationships for B2B sales.• Lead project charter for Dow Building Solutions in Atlanta, GA focusing on identifying the appropriate commercial pipeline to optimize the channel to market within the residential building industry.• Incorporated fundamental engineering skills to create and optimize American Institute of Architects (AIA) presentation on the thermodynamics of residential housing and presented to several architectural firms in the southeast.

During my internship at Albemarle I was responsible for several independent projects that included the following:- Optimized design of a large flash vessel to minimize construction cost while maintaining capacity.- Redesigned the calibration scheme for a flare’s online monitoring system to increase reliability and significantly reduce operating costs.- Performed statistical analyses of emissions contributions from a new unit start-up.- Evaluated actual new column performance vs. design.- Audited training performed on new plant operating procedures to ensure compliance with process safety regulations
