About Shaji Antony

I'm a Veterinarian with 21 years of extensive experience in Livestock Farm Management in India. After coming to New Zealand in 2012, I did a Post Graduate Diploma in Science (Animal Sciences) from Massey University, Palmerston North. My previous educational qualifications include a Masters in Veterinary Sciences from Kerala Agricultural University, India .The last position I held before moving to NZ was as the Deputy General Manager for Kerala Livestock Development Board,India (former Indo-Swiss Project). Since completion of my course at Massey University I worked with the Pig Improvement Company, New Zealand Limited (PIC NZ Ltd) as their Production Manager at Auckland, New Zealand for nearly 4 years. I worked with Adept Limited as their Business Development Manager - India Region for one year before joining the Auckland Council in their Licensing and Compliance department and currently posted as a Senior with the Regulatory Dispatch Team. After working in an advanced animal production systems in New Zealand for more than 5 years, my first focus is bringing many of the internationally accepted best practices to India.
