Jon first assisted, then later led the nascent IT group. Day-to-day responsibilities included supporting a global staff running on Windows, OSX, and Linux along with numerous open-source software applications. Additional projects such as a migration from hosted IMAP to Google Apps were undertaken and accomplished with zero staff down-time.* Supporting a diverse global staff of technology-oriented professionals stewarding a Top 5 website.* Managed a team of 4, supporting the day-to-day needs of Office IT within a strictly open-source environment.* Developed and began implementation of a five-year long office network upgrade plan; including plans for a global intranet covering offices on multiple continents.* Researched, purchased, and deployed a complete overhaul of the core network infrastructure.* Co-owned a project to double the office size (on a new floor).
