Shakeba Umar is IIM alumni; (former UNFPA Consultant) is an educationist turned restaurateur and social entrepreneur. She owns a design company named Dezalia, A food company named Legato foods and an NGO named Denzal Foundation as well. She is an Educationist by qualification, Businessperson by profession and a Social Activist by passion. she is a “Woman with a Mission”, the mission to evolve the Indian community into an Intellectually Progressive, Socially Dynamic and Economically Potent community of conscientious individuals who will significantly contribute to the development of the Nation. Her career spans over a decade working with research institutes and leading Organisations in Education sector Like NIOS, KVS, NCERT, NVS, JMI across various verticals like Assistant Professor, Project Coordination in various areas such as evaluation, examination, curriculum development; Life Skill based education, Evaluation for persons with special Needs and Gender Policy, developing life skills enriched study materials and tutor training program, adolescents’ issues, academic and evaluation reform. She is a multi-faceted person who has quite ably led all her organizations from its inception to its present status of being a vibrant Global organization of dynamic individuals. She has exceptional interpersonal skills and networking abilities which is quite evident from her strong social network across India which includes professionals, students, politicians, bureaucrats and social leaders. As a person She is quite level-headed, mature and capable of taking decisions. She has great organizational skills with an eye for identifying talent and has the ability to put a team together and lead everyone to deliver to the best of their potential. She is enthusiastic, ambitious and a great thinker who is able to devise radical strategies for the organizational as well as humanity development. She is also quite erudite in the matters of public administration and political governance and is abreast with all the recent developments and changes in Government Policies.
