SAC Capital was a global investment management firm with over $10 billion in assets under management and operated as a muti-manager platform. At SAC, I built and led a team to execute fundamental, long-term oriented public equity investments in the consumer, cyclicals and business services sectors, with full P&L responsibility. Working at SAC gave me an opportunity to experience first-hand, working inside a short-term trading oriented firm.

Highfields was a pioneering value-oriented investment firm from 1998 to 2018, which was spun out of the Harvard Management Company. The firm made investments in both private and public companies. Highfields scaled rapidly from $5b to $10b of AUM during my tenure, primarily through exceptional investment results. At Highfields, I led our efforts across several sectors including consumer and business services. My investing approach was based on deep fundamental research, a long-term time horizon and collaborative engagement with management teams of our portfolio companies. I invested in public equities both passively and as activist; as well as in distressed debt. I also worked on several private equity investments.

GTCR, founded in 1980, is a leading private equity firm in the United States that builds partnerships with exceptional leaders in targeted growth sectors. GTCR pioneered The Leaders Strategy — finding and partnering with management leaders in core domains to identify, acquire and build market-leading companies through transformational acquisitions and organic growth. At GTCR, I worked closely, as an investor and Board member, with the leadership teams of several GTCR portfolio companies assisting with a range of strategic matters including transaction due diligence and execution, capital allocation decision making, development of growth strategies and human resource decisions.

Bear Stearns was a leading global investment bank from 1923 to 2008. I began my career, in 1996, at Bear Stearns as an investment banker working in both the Mergers & Acquisitions group and in the Restructuring area. At Bear Stearns, I advised a number of publicly listed Fortune 1000 Boards and management teams on an array of of strategic matters, including over $30 billion worth of M&A transactions.

Segno Communications was a telecom service provider pursing a regional rollup strategy in the wireless tower industry. Segno's assets eventually made their way into the larger consolidators. At Segno, I worked for the CFO (who was one my finance professors) to evaluate and execute M&A transactions. During my internship, I evaluated dozens of protentional acquisition opportunities ranging from single site towers to other large regional players, leading to the consummation of several deals.
