I worked for the summer program in the summers of 2018, 2019, and 2020. I loved the opportunity to be an active member of, and to give back to my community through learning of different issues with my home & helping with activities to make it a better place. I helped with youth activities in basketball events and boxing lessons.I learned about the different issues impacting unfortunate neighborhoods through discussions with veterans, event organizers, and many other active community members.I also gained insight on the impact of technology and coding; which kickstarted my passion for the computer science field.Even though the positions I worked for differed every year, and even for a short period of time, I continued to gain the experience of helping and advocacy.
