Shakima M. Davey is a dedicated public health leader with over 17 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. She has worked extensively in Maternal and Child Health, Early Childhood Intervention, Child and Adult Outpatient Mental Health, Medical Social Work, Ryan White HIV Medical Case Management, and Behavioral and Community Health across various Maryland counties, including Baltimore City, Montgomery, Howard, and Baltimore County.Shakima has a strong background in grant management, medical case management, discharge planning, lifespan development, crisis intervention, social welfare, and evidence-based methods for improving health outcomes. As a Maryland Certified Public Manager®, she excels in leading and managing teams, as well as developing, implementing, and monitoring public health programs to enhance health outcomes, with a particular focus on improving minority health and reducing health disparities through outreach, education, and equitable care access.Shakima holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Education with a concentration in Community Health from Morgan State University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
