As a Block Project Manager, I worked as a team leader at Block Project Management Unit (BPMU), and I was responsible for managing and supervising a team of 10-15 staff working directly for the purpose of Capacity Building of Gram Panchayats. Being the Project Manager at the block level, I look after the overall planning, implementation, management, monitoring, and reporting of all project activities at the BPMU level. I as a BPM also had to coordinate with government line departments and liaison with Civil Society organizations, PRIs, and external agencies for project purposes.I was working towards institutional strengthening under the Bihar Panchayat Strengthening Program (BPSP) a World Bank-funded program and was organizing meetings of PRI members and facilitating them in holding regular Gram Sabha. Block-level timely training for Gram Panchayat members and rollout of community-level activities are carried out in the villages for behavioral change. Conducting Block level workshops for advocating community-led approaches and facilitating the construction of toilets to end OD and towards sanitation.

The Village Immersion, CRP drive, and living with ST communities and working in their field is a landmarks in my journey of RD. Began with learning about the functioning of SHG, VO, and CLF; it cleared my views about how these institutions for the poor help in Financial/Social inclusion and encourage women to take up the lead role in poverty alleviation through micro-enterprises, self-employment mutual cooperation and by unleashing and harnessing their innate potential.Working in the Saranda forest (Manoharpur block) under the MKSP domain; NTFP has given me plenty of scopes to explore. Looking after: Lac-culture, Special Project: World Bank, Sericulture and Tamarind cultivation with poor and Ultra-poor. Focusing on other livelihood activities: farm and non-farms (GRC). Developed competencies such as PG and PC formation, also undergone rigorous training in Value-chain Analysis and management with Practical Action Consulting (PAC). Under Value-Chain, developed a Business plan for Potato and Backyard-Poultry with PAC only.

Bacpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) is a Nobel Prize awarded Kailasha Satyarthi's (Nobel Prize awardee) organization working for child rights for decades. I was learning and looking after various domains and their functioning for holistic understanding with regard to child rights. A few of them are:A) Bal Mitra Gram or Child-Friendly Village: which is the epitome of making the villages in rural areas free from child labor, human trafficking, and all forms of abuse. Also, enabling children to play a lead role in making decisions in local formal bodies, where they can raise their issues through Bal Panchayat (Acknowledged children's parliament)B) Raid & Rescue Operation: Carrying RRO in the areas where children are exploited and attacked by organized rackets who compel children to beg, work in inhuman conditions, and take up prostitution as a profession or housemaid. The RRO team comprises officials from Labor Department, the Women and Child department police force, and key workers.C) Short-term rehabilitation centers: after the children are rescued they are kept in short-term rehabilitation centers where they are counseled, treated, and sent back to their homes after calling their parents or close relatives.D) Bal Ashrams (Rehabilitation center): after tracking the parents of rescued children for one month and failing in it, the children are sent to Bal Asharam where they are nurtured, educated, and skills for living a dignified life.Being an intern it was my responsibility to look after the documentation work of these domains, monitor it, and visit there quite often to understand it em-pathetically.
