Sakthivell has been involved in Peace building and reconciliation efforts as Facilitator, Mentor, Program Development expert as well as Coach for last fifteen years in Sri Lanka . He was trained by Karuna Centre for Peace Building- USA during 2003 to 2005 and also participated in International Conferences representing Sri Lanka . He participated in Tallberg Forum 2005 in Sweden and also LOCAL REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TO OVERCOME POVERTY IN ASIA- 2006 in Laos and try to develop models to build Peace though employment creation in Large scale Industries , Self-employment and Innovative Sector Development activities in post conflict areas of Sri Lanka. Creation of Hotel School, Developing Public Private Partnership Projects and bringing down funding , Linking Local resources with National and International level Value chains were some examples for his Innovative projects on Peace building angle . Sakthivell is having more than Fourteen years experience with donors and funding agencies through Youth, Peace building, Entrepreneurship dimensions.Sakthivell is also a Micro, Small and Medium scale Business development expert, with Postgraduate qualifications, and practical experience in creation of Rural Business Counseling training packages for remote rural communities in a Sri Lankan context and Business Counselors Training packages for Chambers in Sri Lanka. Possessing Lead Facilitator License from CEFE International and demonstrated success in Developing Value Chain based Projects focusing on Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Aquaculture through adaptation to ground realities of the region. International experiences acquired via visiting and networking around Asia and other regions.
